They had me at Brewdog pub wedding with wings. One thing I love about my job is photographing groups of friends weddings, so when Jess and Blanche got in touch to tell me about their informal Brewdog pub wedding in Cardiff I was super happy as they are also good friends with one of my past couple’s - Amy and Matt! This was second lot of Amy and Matt’s friends weddings I got to photograph last year (and not the last).

Actually, yes, yes I do! Cat’s! We bonded over cats during our video chat, and that’s also how I started the day, at their house in Peckham, fishing two gorgeous cats out of some very spiky and cobwebby bushes in their garden. Rachel and her bridesmaids were all glammed up so I took on the task of bringing the cats indoors before we headed off to the ceremony in Dulwich. A task I was very happy to take on of course. Love of cats and all.

This is how we ended the night at Chloë and Matt’s wedding at St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, Chloe and her best friends standing where the spice girls once stood, dancing and singing. Which is also pretty similar to how we started the day too. I was recommended to Chloe and Matt by their friends Amy and Matt whose wedding I photographed in London the year before - i love seeing the same wedding guests at weddings, it’s so lovely to catch up and there’s something wonderful about getting to see circles of friends get married!

When they first got in touch and we discovered we had a mutual love of hamsters, tattoos and Disney we knew we were going to get on like a house on fire. With enough balloons worthy of a feature in Up, neon details and all of the inflatables I felt like I'd walked into my own personal wonderland.

I love pub weddings, and a proper Irish pub like the Storehouse was an amazing setting. When Tom and Helen decided they wanted to get married they knew they wanted to do it differently, and they succeeded and then some with their 2 day extravaganza.
